When it comes to an
online presence it is clear that Jeb Bush has an uphill battle ahead of

In addition to Jeb not
fully being lost on having a website he is also involved with a few social
media platforms. Bush has a personal Facebook and Twitter account. On Twitter
he has a strong presence. He posts a few times a week, and even a few times a
day. While this is a huge presence for Bush since he does not have his own
personal website he needs to make sure that he does not have spans of time
where he does not post. Maintaining this account will assist Bush to keep his
online presence strong until he is able to obtain his own personal website, at
which point he can connect the sites and use them interdependently.
Similar to Twitter,
Jeb's presence on Facebook is rather impressive. Bush posts on Facebook rather
frequently. An impressive facet of Bush’s use on social media is how
interconnected they are; he does a great job at tweeting something short to
spark interest and at the end of the tweet there is a link to his PAC website
that goes more in depth on the subject matter.
Another strong aspect
of Jeb’s online presence is that unlike some potential candidates is that he
sticks to politics and policy when using social media. Bush is not concerned
with posting cool things, but rather things that are important. In scrolling
through his Twitter account the only tweet seen in a decent amount of scrolling
that was about anything but politics was about his parent's 70th wedding anniversary. Despite this not being about politics, this reaffirms the
ideology of Jeb caring deeply about his family.

Although Bush has some
strong areas online it is no secret that he needs to acquire a domain name of
his own. If he were to buy a website that ties more simply to his name then he
will likely accrue more traffic which would result in more donations and talk
about him. After Bush gets this done he should continue to make information
easy to get to and obtain. For example, if someone comes across Jeb’s twitter
account they should be able to get to his personal website and Facebook page
directly from there. Bush has shown promise that this would be a trend of his,
it is just something that he would need to keep up.
